The public art, Turbulent, by Vancouver-based artist Jill Anholt, creates a viewpoint of the river valley complete with seating. It's made of thin, bright blue ribbons of metal combined with concrete benches. The seats are inspired by the waters of the North Saskatchewan River which they over look.
This Promenade is just to the east of the bottom of the funicular.
Visitors can continue to explore the space by travelling across the Bridge (spanning across Grierson Hill Road) to the Lookout.
If you want to venture along the river valley trails below, just pop on the elevator or take the stairs. Once on ground level, you can enter the trail system to Louise McKinney Park, the Low Level Bridge or the Rossdale/River Crossing area.
