When the sidewalks get icy...
Residents can opt for free sand to give their walkways some grip.
The sand is made available at participating community leagues around the city. It comes courtesy of the City of Edmonton.

*On the off chance there isn't one nearby, you can request one through your community league.
Remember to bring your own container to scoop the sand you need
